Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing household routines and budgeting, and initial nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 with comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
