Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, married-couple role living on campus to supervise and guide a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include per-person salary of $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requirements include experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and aged 27 or older, and both must complete individual applications for consideration.
