Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions with weekly Chapel attendance. The role progresses from nine-on/nine-off duty to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Applicants must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses age 27 or older, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
