Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-site homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. They will start by supporting various student homes on a 9-on/3-off schedule, then transition to a placed houseparent role with one group of students in a dedicated home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
