Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and lead developmental and recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. After an initial nine days on/three days off, the role transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid time off, and housing/ meals while on duty. The position requires a two-person, legally married couple (both spouses must apply individually) with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- High school diploma or GED
