Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement options. Requires a two-person married couple, valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
