Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparent roles on Milton Hershey School campus, where a married couple resides in on-campus student homes to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The schedule initially is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role model for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
