Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents, a married couple living in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment. The role follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, paid time off, and training. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
