Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in Downey, CA, to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medications administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. The role requires two married spouses to work together, a high school diploma/GED, and a valid driver’s license, with relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
