Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/two-off cycle (nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off) and may transition to a Placed Houseparent who continues to live and work with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse eligibility and married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
