Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents: a two-person married-couple role living on campus to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in a student home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Roles begin with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing experience or willingness to live on campus
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
