Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents living on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in student homes, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The position starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off and may transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive health and retirement benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
