Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (a two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine-on/three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home; includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
