Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) live on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, oversee daily routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel, manage budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine-on / three-off duty pattern and eventual placement in a single student home; requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus and age 27+ for both spouses; relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
