Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students in an on-site student home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
