Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in a student home, supervising and guiding 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Compensation is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple with benefits such as medical/dental/vision, retirement, relocation assistance, and paid training). Requires a two-spouse, legally married partnership for consideration and completion of individual applications by both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Housing on-campus and full-time commitment
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
