Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, a married couple residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, transportation, and development activities for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a two-home, nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
