Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School in Avon Park, FL to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total couple compensation around $168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
