Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person married couple role living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, provide care and supervision, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee household routines and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students; includes relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
