Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, and paid training. Requires experience with youth and a two-person married-couple commitment, with both spouses completing individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
