Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental and recreational activities with a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, budgeting, leading daily devotions, and guiding students toward academic, emotional, and social development; the role transitions from nine days on / three days off to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person plus housing, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
