Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. Schedule consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with on-campus housing and meals provided; relocation assistance and paid training included.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Willingness to reside on-campus with students and follow structured schedules
- Prior experience working or volunteering with youth
