Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents are a two-person on-campus role for married couples. They reside in student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for roughly 8–13 students, coordinating daily routines, supervising activities, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent home with the same group of students. Benefits include a salary per person around $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid time off, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
