Job Summary
Full-time, two-person role for married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, and initially rotating across homes before transitioning to a fixed student-home placement. Requires two qualified spouses, both 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to live on-campus in student homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students
- Ability to follow a schedule with nine consecutive days on duty and three days off
- Willingness to participate in devotions and chapel services
- Flexibility to transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time
