Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide daily mentorship, manage routines, administer medications, drive to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-on/three-off initial schedule and eventual placement in a single student home; requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be at least 27 years old and legally married for at least two years. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, vacation, and on-campus housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Pro-social/ Judeo-Christian chapel participation (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Completed individual employment applications by both spouses
- On-campus housing availability
