Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (a two-person, married-couple role) reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple homes, with eventual placement into a single student-home role. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple, including housing and meals), comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
