Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in a student home with a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and oversight of household routines; responsibilities include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting; program starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same students in their own home; includes relocation assistance and paid training; salary per person about $44,768 with total couple compensation around $168,000 including housing and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
