Job Summary
As part of Securitas Mobile operation, provide mobile guarding services, which may include operating a vehicle to perform patrols, inspections, and response services. Responsibilities include maintaining communication with the base, inspecting buildings and grounds for safety, preparing logs and reports, observing and reporting incidents, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must have a current security officer's license, be at least 21 years old, and possess a High School Diploma or GED. Independent work is required, and a Class 5 license is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Current Province of Manitoba Issued Security Officer’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).
- Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
- Must have the legal right to work in Canada.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED. If not, must be willing to complete the GED program within six months.
- Must have Class 5 license or higher, with fair knowledge of the city.
- Minimum of 2 years with a Canadian Driver's License.
- Must provide driver's abstract with no serious infractions or license suspensions on record.
- Must be available for all necessary training shifts at various start and end times.
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to provide high quality customer service.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
