Job Summary

Direct and implement tailored physical therapy treatments for patients with a focus on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring functional movement based on individual plans of care. Conduct thorough evaluations including diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, document findings accurately, and prepare detailed clinical records for compliance. Administer manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage techniques while evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians. Supervise physical therapy assistants, instructing them in specific treatment modalities and ensuring protocols are followed. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and update comprehensive care plans, provide patient education on managing therapy programs, and make recommendations for adapting home environments. Work onsite Monday through Friday at our Clearwater facility, supporting a diverse population including post-operative orthopedic clients and those with sports injuries.

Required Qualifications

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Florida
  • A record free of sanctions and board proceedings
  • Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques
  • Proven success in developing effective exercise programs
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT
  • A strong foundation in current physical therapy techniques
  • Ongoing research and professional development

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting focusing on orthopedic and sports therapy
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in providing patient education and support, particularly in a home health or outpatient rehabilitation context
