Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Provide direct hands-on physical therapy services utilizing manual therapy and exercise prescription while managing a focused patient load to ensure adequate attention per individual. Educate patients on non-surgical alternatives and lifestyle changes, then document all treatments and progress accurately using Web PT electronic medical records. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to create integrated care approaches, continuously monitoring intervention effectiveness to optimize patient outcomes. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm within a collaborative outpatient environment focused on restoring mobility and enhancing physical capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, in good standing without sanctions or board proceedings
- Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques
- A thorough understanding of exercise programming
- Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly Web PT
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to continuing education and evidence-based practice
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
- Mastery of manual therapy modalities
- A portfolio of successful exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs
- Experience collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance comprehensive patient care
