Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery within an outpatient setting, focusing on personalized care strategies. Establish individualized treatment plans employing exercise, hands-on therapy, and advanced equipment, while tracking progress through documentation and regular reevaluation to adjust goals. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and therapeutic tools, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. Stay current on best practices by attending workshops and reviewing literature. This role supports a diverse patient population including children and adults with orthopedic and neurological conditions, offering flexible Monday-to-Friday scheduling onsite in Punta Gorda, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and their families
- Affinity for teamwork and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary setting
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and ability to generate detailed reports on patient progress
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs and work environments
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient or home care setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and treatment modalities
