Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new orthopedic patients to develop tailored treatment plans, then implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, strength training, and functional mobility training. Provide ongoing assessments to modify plans based on patient progress and educate families on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care while maintaining accurate documentation of outcomes. This role involves onsite home care visits for patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions, supported by well-trained staff handling administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- A valid state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their families
