Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans addressing mobility, strength, and functional goals. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound to support recovery protocols. Educate patients on body mechanics and home exercise programs while monitoring progress metrics like range of motion and strength gains. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize care outcomes. Maintain organized treatment areas and ensure equipment availability for sessions. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional flexibility based on patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid physical therapy license in the state of New York
- A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm work schedule
- Occasional flexibility required based on patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings, including orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric populations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation systems
- Hands-on experience with specialized modalities and therapy techniques
