Job Summary
Assess patient needs and establish personalized treatment goals to guide recovery for individuals with orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing hands-on care using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on body mechanics. Implement effective treatment plans and document progress in WebPT, modifying strategies based on patient responses. Provide instruction on home exercise programs to enhance mobility and strength while fostering a positive atmosphere that motivates active engagement. Collaborate with the team of two physical therapists and one PTA to discuss cases and improve departmental operations.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Current state license to practice as a physical therapist with no disciplinary actions on record
- Strong competency in manual therapy techniques
- Proficiency in utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT
