Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess impairments and functional limitations, then develop personalized treatment plans based on physician orders. Deliver therapeutic interventions, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to align with rehabilitation goals while maintaining accurate documentation of all care in compliance with federal and state regulations. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and occupational therapists to implement cohesive intervention strategies. Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic protocols and contribute to departmental strategies aimed at improving patient care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and general computer applications as they relate to patient documentation and communication
- minimum of one year of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting
