Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations using evidence-based assessments to define patient needs, set realistic goals, and establish individualized treatment plans. Implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain by utilizing manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents such as traction and heat. Monitor patient progress closely, adapting treatment approaches based on the individual response to therapy, and maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to state regulations. Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of care plans while engaging with patients and families to educate them on home care exercises and assistive devices.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist with no history of sanctions or board proceedings
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Familiarity with a broad range of rehabilitation protocols
- Ability to navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively, particularly Web PT
- Strong commitment to continued education and staying current with industry advancements in physical therapy
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting
- Experience supervising support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants
Desired Qualifications
