Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians and create tailored treatment plans for diverse demographics including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine cases. Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices to improve mobility, strength, and functional performance while monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed. Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation exercises and home care techniques, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and meet utilization goals. Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state license in Physical Therapy in New Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective patient interactions and documentation
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and general computer software
- Ability to establish rapport with patients, encouraging them to achieve and exceed their functional goals
- A genuine desire to connect with others, both patients and community members
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in outpatient settings
- Experience with various specialties such as orthopedics or pediatrics
