Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities and design individualized treatment plans to address their needs. Direct and implement therapeutic interventions to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance muscle strength. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to protocols while providing mentorship. Document clinical findings, progress notes, and update care plans in accordance with agency and state guidelines. Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to refine treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations. Educate clients and their families on therapy regimens and the proper use of therapeutic devices. Participate in case conferences with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans. This role involves working onsite in our outpatient office in Keansburg, NJ, with a diverse patient population including those recovering from surgeries and managing chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey
- Current certification in CPR
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective treatment plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth in the field of physical therapy
- A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Backgrounds in outpatient therapy, acute care, or community health
- Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems
