Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine physical therapy needs, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations. Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines, then regularly reassess patients to monitor progress and modify protocols. Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education on managing orthopedic conditions. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries. Collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care. This outpatient role focuses on adult patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, post-surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida
- American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in outpatient orthopedic care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal skills
