Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess physical function and establish personalized treatment plans. Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, aimed at restoring optimal physical function. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of orthopedic specialists, sports medicine professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on patient responses and recovery milestones. Provide ongoing education and support for patients and their families regarding injury prevention and wellness strategies. Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and maintain high standards of patient care through open communication with colleagues and leadership. Meet productivity targets and contribute to practice growth initiatives by actively participating in community outreach programs.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes
- Demonstrated ability to engage patients positively and help them achieve their functional goals
- A strong desire to foster connections with patients and support their health and recovery on an individual basis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred, particularly with orthopedic, pediatric, and sports medicine populations
- Familiarity with current evidence-based practices in physical therapy
- Experience using outcome measurement tools to track patient progress
