Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, then develop personalized rehabilitation plans with measurable goals tailored to individual needs. Administer therapeutic procedures and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain while educating patients and caregivers on self-management. Maintain meticulous records of patient progress in compliance with regulatory requirements and participate in departmental productivity standards. Engage in regular communication with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to coordinate comprehensive care and actively contribute to staff training initiatives. Assist in operational management tasks including scheduling, supplies management, and budgeting oversight. This role serves neonates through geriatric populations, addressing sports injuries, post-surgical recoveries, chronic pain, and neurological rehabilitation within our outpatient Fort Lauderdale facility.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks associated with patient care, including lifting, standing, and conducting therapeutic exercises
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Experience in specialized areas such as orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, or neurological rehabilitation
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to continued education and professional development
