Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional mobility, strength, and range of motion, then develop and implement personalized treatment plans using manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescriptions. Monitor patient progress daily, adjusting strategies for post-operative athletes, chronic pain patients, and older adults with mobility challenges, while educating families on recovery strategies. Document all interactions and progress notes in the electronic health record system and collaborate with doctors and occupational therapists to ensure holistic care. Manage a caseload of approximately seven patients daily within a supportive outpatient orthopedic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the New York State
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting
- Focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with specific rehabilitation techniques such as dry needling, kinesiology taping, or the McKenzie Method
- Previous utilization of electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting patient history and treatment plans
- Familiarity with patient education platforms or tools to promote post-therapy compliance
