Job Summary
Evaluate patient goals and functional needs, then develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using evidence-based practices and manual therapy techniques. Manage a patient load of approximately one per hour while conducting ongoing assessments to adjust plans and optimize outcomes. Engage adult patients in rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, and post-surgical recovery through personalized exercise regimens and motivational strategies. Document all interactions thoroughly and collaborate with physicians and occupational therapists to provide holistic care. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a team environment focused on patient-centered mobility and functional independence.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York
- No disciplinary actions or board actions against your license
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques to enhance patient treatment
- Capability to design and implement effective exercise regimens based on individual patient assessments
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings
- Background in utilizing evidence-based methodologies and fostering teamwork in clinical environments
