Job Summary
Direct physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disabilities, alleviate pain, and restore function through evaluations, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises. Oversee care implementation by assistants, monitor patient progress, and adjust protocols based on interdisciplinary team consultation. Provide patient education on rehabilitation exercises and self-management strategies while maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation. Serve outpatient clients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. Maintain current Florida licensure and CPR certification within a collaborative onsite environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate degree (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current and valid physical therapy license in Florida
- At least two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient setting
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient understanding of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations governing physical therapy practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient education and engagement
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications or advanced training in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedic or neurological rehabilitation
- Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting patient care and maintaining clinical data
