Job Summary
Assess and diagnose patients' physical conditions using advanced diagnostic tests, then develop and modify individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and promote function. Administer manual and therapeutic exercises, conduct home evaluations to foster independence, and document clinical records including progress notes. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to adjust care plans. Provide education to patients and families regarding therapeutic devices and home exercise programs while maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid and current PT license in the state of Florida
- A minimum of two years' post-licensure experience in a clinical setting
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Appropriate automobile insurance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective patient communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
- A commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and ongoing professional development
