Job Summary
Deliver customized physical therapy treatment plans to relieve pain, improve muscle function, and maintain performance in accordance with individual patient goals. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests, interpret results to inform care strategies, and oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure safe implementation. Create and maintain accurate clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to adjust treatment plans, provide education on therapeutic exercises and home care, and document changes in patient conditions for physician communication. Work onsite at our Keyport, NJ facility Monday through Friday, treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- At least one year of professional experience as a physical therapist
- A valid physical therapy license for the state of New Jersey
- Current CPR certification
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- A proactive attitude toward lifelong learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy
- This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Keyport, NJ
- We operate from Monday to Friday
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with current best practices in rehabilitation therapy, pain management, and patient engagement strategies
- Previous involvement in interdisciplinary case management and treatment planning
