Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical condition and treatment goals, creating individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices. Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to patient needs, adapting techniques in real-time to coincide with progress. Clearly communicate findings to patients and families while maintaining diligent documentation of progress in electronic health records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure holistic care and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Participate in community outreach initiatives and assume a mentorship role for new physical therapy students. This role serves a diverse outpatient population recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Full-time hours Monday through Friday are available for this position.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid physical therapist license in the state of Virginia
- Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting
