Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new and returning patients to assess physical functions and needs, then develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating manual therapy techniques and structured exercise regimens. Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting plans based on evolving conditions, while providing education on preventive strategies and lifestyle choices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including physicians and occupational therapists to ensure cohesive care for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM with a manageable caseload of 6 to 8 patients daily.
Required Qualifications
- Current active New York State Physical Therapist license
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices
- A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly within outpatient orthopedics
- Experience in manual therapy techniques or sports rehabilitation
