Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and establish effective therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour to ensure quality and individualized attention during sessions. Implement evidence-based practices utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to enhance mobility, strength, and functional capabilities. Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to discuss patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Document patient care services thoroughly and accurately, instruct patients in exercises promoting recovery, and monitor progress regularly to adjust care plans based on evolving conditions. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM onsite in our modern rehabilitation center in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington, DC, without any disciplinary actions against your credential
- Strong manual therapy skills
- A thorough understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation
- A robust ability to create effective exercise plans aimed at patient rehabilitation and wellness
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT for efficient documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- A background in sports therapy or experience working with athletes
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate patients about their treatment plans and the importance of adherence to therapy
