Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patients' needs, developing tailored care plans to improve mobility and function. Manage a focused caseload treating one patient per hour, applying evidence-based techniques and manual therapy to enhance recovery outcomes. Facilitate patient education on therapeutic exercises and injury prevention while maintaining meticulous documentation in WebPT EMR Software. Collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure comprehensive care continuity and monitor treatment effectiveness, adapting strategies as necessary. This onsite full-time role at our outpatient clinic in Washington, DC runs Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Washington with no disciplinary actions
- Exceptional proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription
- Working knowledge of WebPT or similar electronic medical record software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized treatment programs tailored to specific patient needs
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
